What they do
HarbourVest is a global private markets investment firm founded in 1982 and headquartered in Boston, investing across primary fund commitments, secondaries and direct co-investments for institutional investors worldwide.
What it was costing them
Private markets portals are harder than public fund sites. Capital calls, distribution notices, K-1s and quarterly reports go to a limited audience under strict rules about who may see which fund's documents.
A single misrouted document is a serious incident, so the entitlement model is the work.

We designed the experience and implemented the portal on the Kurtosys platform, with the entitlement model driving the information architecture rather than sitting behind it.
