[03] The client

What they do

Sca1e gives founders business intelligence, diagnostics and AI-powered insight, and gives investors the same picture across a portfolio. It works from pre-seed to Series E.

[04] The problem

What it was costing them

Pre-seed to Series E is not one user. A pre-seed founder needs orientation and a short list; a Series E operator needs depth and comparison; the investor looking across twenty companies needs consistency between them.

Keeping one product useful across that range, for both sides of the relationship, was the design problem.

[05] What we did

The work

We structured the diagnostics so the same underlying assessment reads correctly at every stage, rather than showing a Series E dashboard to a company of four people.

The AI turns diagnostic results into recommended actions, which is what makes founders open it twice a week instead of once a quarter.
